Product Overview |
| |
The Finger Mouse
is an ideal example of a common device fitted with fingerprint
identification technology. The Finger Mouse is a
multi-purpose computer peripheral that functions both as a
conventional mouse and as a fingerprint scanner.
Incorporating Shimizu's Optical Sensor, the Finger Mouse has all the features of dedicated
fingerprint devices. It operates with the same application
software and driver as does the Chip Sensor and Optical Sensor.
The significance of the Finger Mouse to System Integrators,
Developers and Manufacturers rests in the successful
implementation of Shimizu's fingerprint technology in a common
product. Other applications and devices can also be fitted
with the sensor to provide value-added functionality.
Furthermore, due to the small footprint and form factor of the
sensor pad, many products can implement the feature: notebooks,
PDA's, cellular phones, electronic toys, retail equipment,
automobiles, door lock systems, and more...
